Sand water separator is a device that efficiently separates sand particles from water through physical means, mainly used in fields such as sewage treatment, construction sites, and industrial water treatment. Its core function is to separate solid particles in the mixed liquid through specific structural design, achieving water resource purification and waste recycling.
1、 Main types
Cyclone type: uses centrifugal force to separate sand particles, suitable for small particles. A typical structure includes an eccentric inlet and a conical settling zone, which accelerates particle settling through a rotating flow field.
Spiral type: using shaftless spiral to drive sand dewatering, commonly found in sedimentation tanks of sewage treatment plants, with a structure including U-shaped grooves, overflow weirs, and other components.
Gravity type: relying on the self weight settlement of particles, suitable for low concentration mixed liquids.
Filter press type: intercepting particles through the filter layer, with high filtration accuracy.
2、 Working principle
Cyclone type: High pressure water flows tangentially into the cone, forming a vortex. Sand particles settle to the bottom of the cone under centrifugal force, and clear water is discharged from the top.
Spiral type: After the sand water mixture enters the water tank, the sand particles settle at the bottom of the tank and are pushed by the spiral to the sand discharge outlet. The clear water is discharged through the overflow weir.
Auxiliary design: Some equipment is equipped with anti backflow components (such as conical baffles) or secondary filtration units to enhance separation efficiency.
